Squats are starting to come back - YAY!! Good Mornings were really good tonight. I switched to a low bar position and it made a world of difference.

Thanks guys! I should have said earlier, but yes, it's with a single ply suit. The goal is to hit 495+ at the next meet while weighing 165 - so that will be triple body weight.

Anthony, how many calories or macros do you and Jody try to consume when you are training this heavy but not wanting to put on much weight?

Eric, I believe Jodi is around 1600/day and I'm around 3000/day, although we are both slightly higher on the weekends. About two weeks out from a competition we'll change things to make weight.

Anthony, unrelated question: I remember you posting some time ago that good mornings helped your squat by making it easier to fight forward lean. This seems to be one of my biggest problems when squatting heavy, especially with high bar squats. How would you recommend adding good mornings to my training?

150 Double Unders
Time = 2:47

The wrist isn't 100% so I didn't want to risk clean practise ... opted for double unders instead. Short workout, just to get the lungs burning. It worked.

Jacob, if you are squatting heavy on a regular basis, just throw them in afterwards. Taking an empty bar out of the rack after doing heavy squats has a very surreal feel to it ... it's the primary reason I do it.
