Deadlifting before a WOD

What is the best way to program Deadlift strength prior to a long WOD with heavy deads in it at low reps. Should our deadlift strength before the WOD be lighter weight/higher reps, or higher weight/ low reps?

Looking for any suggestions.

I would do strength training for deads on another day if you are already doing heavy deads in a WOD. Last thing you want is people getting tired in the WOD and form slipping....

Don't do it. It is bad programing.

You can deadlift heavy first then go medium to light in the met-con for higher reps if you want. Just don't go heavy twice.

We always do a short, fast, almost always strictly bodyweight conditioning workout on our Deadlift days. Sometimes KB swings but usually things like pull ups, burpees, air squats, etc.
