i'm looking for a good post-workout stretching routine.i always feel pretty sore after the wod's(some way more than others) so i just do a few simple stretches. i was also thinking it would be pretty cool if stretches were posted after the wod's or on rest days. any input would be appreciated

Re: stretching

I've started looking up yoga poses on youtube. I hate stretching, but certain poses do a pretty good job of getting the major muscle groups and I can get through it pretty quick, 10 minutes or so.

PS. I have no history of yoga, nor do I think I'll ever take a class. But I've found it to be very anatomically correct, much like crossfit. Give it a shot.

Re: stretching

Not too long ago I was also thinking to myself that I needed a more productive stretching routine. Especially for my upper body.
One of the CF journal articles mentioned a product called the "Fraid Knot".
It's a simple kit of a rope and a booklet with a number of stretches illustrated. It was only $10 so I figured what the heck. I've been using it for a few weeks now and I like the routine and rope makes stretching alot more effective. I can say I feel alot better after a WOD doing this routine.
Good value for $10 I have to say. (W/F safe)

Re: stretching

I read this article on stretching and it changed how I do it, my routine is based on it and I do it every day.
