Little bit of tense lower ab after squatting

A day after I was doing squatting (3x5), I was noticing my lower abs feel a little bit tense, like mild muscle ache... around my belly button. During squatting and even hours I didn't feel anything at all. Only the next day.

It's not really painful, I would normally just think it's a little bit of a muscle ache, but I didn't really do any exercises that target the abs mostly. Only Press and Squats... and I read about the association of squats and hernia..

But a hernia would be felt right during or shortly after squatting and also be pretty painful, right? Anything to be concerned about?

Re: Little bit of tense lower ab after squatting

If those movements were done correctly, your core should have been tight to stabilize yourself, therefore soreness in the ab's could be expected
