Hey folks--

Any thoughts/suggestions on some Supplements to take?

I currently take:

A good protein drink POST work out with Creatine. (Reload) Local company makes this.

A good Multi-Vitamin (4 a day) Activite by MHP.

Flaxseed Oil and Fish Oil (Barleans) 3 a day total.

And some Glutamine.

Trying to keep as clean as a Diet as possible also.

Any Suggestions on Supplements would be great!...

Try getting your diet down really good first then start experimenting with supplements. Most of the professionals around here will tell you that supplements aren't necessary if you're eating right.
Vitamins are good though.

Diet should be #1 priority as Parker mentions. No supplement can give the horomonal advantages of eating right.

Other than the fact that many supplements cost so much money and may only give a slight % back, I'll still comment on what I like (if you have the money to spend...after buying organic fruits, veg, grassfed meats, etc)

#1 - Fish Oil
#2 - Greens Powder - offsets acidity of high protein diet.
#3 - Protein powder (only because my goal is to gain muscle so I can no way cook, carry and eat 80oz of chicken a day)
#4 - Vit C 1000mg (3-4x/day)- Good antioxidant.

Other things like creatine and glutamine can help recovery and boost performance a little bit, but again I would spend money on clean foods first, you get more bang for your buck. My motto, get your vitamins through food.

Not sure if it's a supplement but also once in a while I take some Milk Thistle to help my liver recover.

I use Greens+ from the local health food store. Little costly though.

You can also check this thread for more info as the topic was discussed a little more in detail

Yeah that's it. Like I said, there are plenty of different brands out there...for me it came down to taste (cause some are terrible). Green's+ has a Berry flavor which actually makes it more doable. I use mine in protein shakes, may add a little orange/apple juice for taste. I think the only downfall with the caps is the amount you have to take to equal a serving of powder. Plus I know caps can also add fillers and sometimes may not be as recent as the powder. Either way, good luck with it all. Check out that other post from above, Dr G makes some good suggestions on other types of greens.
