This thread seems like the place to show off our new ladies t-shirts. We have a few leftover from our most recent order and would like to make them available to the community.

We have smalls, mediums, and larges left in the following colors - black, white, orchid, and peacock.

The brand is of the highest quality http://www.alternativeapparel.com.

Send me a PM if you want to snag one of these up for $20.

Best,
Zeke
I want one of those! PM coming... Ummm its for a lady trainer at our gym, not me, unless you have a guy cut? I dig that skull!

Re: Where's the Girl Power?

i too am an affiliate... but you can only tell that by my gym.

Jennifer Ellington was in this weekend, apparently b/c either you or Matt Bahen is still telling people either:

1. I am not an assh*le
2. I am competent enough to justify visiting

I can totally live with being tolerated only b/c my expertise is that valuable, by the way.

I can take responsibility for #2.

I should probably put a smiley face on that, huh?

Re: Where's the Girl Power?

Do you make special considerations with your diet?
Do you take any additional meds for insulin issues?
Have you found any helpful ways to "unstick" the weight?

Any input is appreciated!! Thanks!!:

Hi Caitlin-
New to the message boards, but have been CrossFitting for two years or so.
I have PCOS and while I definitely notice increased muscle tone with CrossFit the weight does seem very stubborn.
Regarding diet- I really try to follow strict Zone/Paleo. It helps that my husband has Celiacs so we have no grain in the house. I notice I definitely feel better and perform better on this although it hasn't led to weight/fat loss that I'm looking for (yet I hope).
As far as meds- I'm not on metformin right now, but may need to go on it to stimulate ovulation. I'm curious about taking medication to lower insulin sensitivity even with following the strict diet.

Best of luck with everything! Keep it up!

Re: Where's the Girl Power?

Hi Johanna,

Welcome to the Boards! Some of us guys also hang out on the GP thread as lots of great info here.....

If you've been CrossFitting for two years, you probably know you've "rearranged" your body's metabolism and have probably added lean body mass (muscle) and reduced adipose fat...I too am pretty well entrenched on Zone at this point and have kinda hit a plateau at 200 pounds (lost 23 though, since the beginning of Oct, 2008). I tend toward hypoglycemia; both my wife and daughter are type-2 diabetics. Our insulin responses and blood sugar levels are so much more stable on the Zone. My daughter has had to suspend all medication (non-insuling dependent), since the meds were causing low blood sugars. My wife's medication levels have been cut to their lowest in years....It is anticipated she will be off them altogether soon.

Hope this info helps.
