Early this morning in Wainwright Alberta, a Canadian soldier was killed during a training exercise when his LAV rolled over the side of an embankment. I believe two other young soldiers were seriously injured. The young men were members of the "Royal 22nd.", Vandoos. They were training for a deployment to the middle East early in the New Year.
This was told to me by my brother who is in 1st. Battalion, PPCLI, on the same exercise.

My sympathies to his brother soldiers.

My heart goes out to their friends and families, a tragic accident that could have been prevented. Here's hoping that the other two injured soldiers have a quick recovery.
