Weighted dips would be a good choice for press assistance for one example. Bar dips preferably as the rings lessen the load you can use because of the extra core/balance required.

Check out the rulebook. There are so many weird lifts in there. No-Thumbs, One-Arm Deadlift is actually a sanctioned lift.
Funny you mention that. I was thinking of doing some one arm deadlifts recently....

I have been reading through this thread for a while. It seems like the only sane one on the site!

One thing that has helped my press in neutral grip dumbell press. Heavy sets of 5 and lighter sets of 12-15. With that, dips like Jeff said, and pressing mine jumped from 160 to 185 (so close to 190!) in 3 months.

Use it for the same reason, but also very light for sets of 10 for some hypertrophy work.

Lol. I thought it might help with better snatch power on the KBs.

Re: Sharknado

For the record, I do mostly alternating KB press and snatches to work my overhead stamina. Never know when you will meet a lady overhead lol. J/k but my bread and butter is sets of 2-3x for 5 sets or so and woking to get that for 5 reps and then moing up to the next weight. Today I ended up with 120 for 5 on my klokov press. I will move up to 125 for x3 next week. In a nutshell, I play around most of the time but follow more of a volume workout and then an intensity workout and like TM, my intense day becomes my volume day in time.

Everytime the stupid surprises me, I think I am prepared before things like this wreck my mind again.

Re: Sharknado

Thanks for the tips. No dumbells but I do have a chain contraption that I can do front and side raises using plates. Only dumbell type things I have are two 20kg tractor weights with handles. I use em for farmer carry mostly.
