Even your dog will benefit from paleo

I just wanted to put this out there for you pet owners-
Lots of top breeders or otherwise mindful/educated owners feed their dogs a raw food diet which consists of meat still on the bone and raw. Dogs can easily chew through and consume non weight bearing bones and get a lot of nutrients from this, especially from the marrow. A smaller percentage of the diet includes organ meat. Some even fast their animals to mimic nature!
If you are feeding yourself a great diet, consider your pets. They will be much better off for it.

I believe dogs thrive on a diet based around Corn and Animal Byproducts. That's why I feed my little guy Pedigree Chum! He loves it! Of course he is dumb and also enjoys eating balled up paper and plastic bottles

Haha I love that line. Mine enjoys Almond Roca out of the kitty litter box.

Kinda reminds me of this classic SNL commercial with Will Ferrell, "Dissing Your Dog" - http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/4e7...-dog-from-nino (no real cussing but probably NOT WFS).

Our's have been on BARF for several years now.

Re: Even your dog will benefit from paleo

About 1/2 of my huskies diet is based on what I'm eating (I give them mostly raw meats). I am planning on making 100% of their meals "real" food in the next month or so. It's more fun for them (and me) and the definitely enjoy it more. I will supplement with a dog multivitamin powder and will conform to their required dietary needs (very active dogs, we run 6-7 days / week most weeks and dog park every day or other day).

I train hard and eating right (90% Paleo) helps me perform better. They train hard (with me) and I can only imagine that having them eat well will help them in our longer runs!

Re: Even your dog will benefit from paleo

We feed Ozzy "Oriijen" dog food. It's 70 percent meat, 30 percent vegetables. No animal byproducts, no grain, no fillers. It's very expensive and someday I hope to get around to figuring out a raw feeding schedule.

Right now though he is a puppy and I don't trust myself to get his needs right so we feed him the doggie food.
