I am betting on a repeat from one of the previous years. Sort of like a benchmark to show how much crossfit has progressed. I wouldnt count on the same repeat though.

They did that last year with the final WOD, wouldn't surprise me either me way this year.

Nice to see a 40-44 age group. I am 44...turn 45 in June.

As for the 7 min of Burpees, I agree. Hated that one...

Yep - but it is very "inclusive".
I fully expect there to be something as inclusive for the first WOD of the 2013 Open.

I hear ya...from that aspect it makes sense but actually doing 7 min of burpees was about as mindless of a function as I can ever recall doing! ha ha

Always fun to speculate on what the wods will be. Last year was my first time (was only about 4 months into the CF training). I expect this year to be a different ball game as I'm 13 months in and as expected, I'm faster, stronger, better skills, etc...still have many deficiencies but overall, I'm much better prepared. Should be fun

Re: 2013 Open, Regionals and Games Thread

Great news about the 40-44 division!

My view on the first workout being all inclusive is yes why not... BUT you have to make sure the entry deadline is up before its announced, otherwise you just get tonnes of people entering that have no intention on doing the second workout, and mess up the standings.
