Tony,

No, you don’t suck. There’s some good stuff going on here: good back position, decent shrug and extension (keep focusing on these), and probably a pretty good squat (though it’s hard to tell without the full view of the feet. It looks like you come up on your toes getting out of the squat on the first one but better on the second two).

I think a couple things that will help you at this point are:

1. Keep the bar in close to your body the whole time, especially at the top of the pull. Don’t let it swing (arc) out.

2. As you transition from the pull to dropping under the bar—as you get the bar into the racked position, that is—bring your elbows (by which I mean whip them fast) under the bar and forward, all the way up, so that they’re pointing forward rather than down. Like this: http://www.mikesgym.org/gallery/gall...e&image_ID=226.

Start from there, and keep working it and refining. Have fun!

Yep, get those elbows up. Rack the bar on the shoulders instead of holding it up with the hands. Other than that, looking good.

tony, you have good back position and you initiate the pull with the legs, hips, traps, but you bend the arms too soon....you should be into full extension and on your way down before the arms bend. also your elbows are way too slow....meet the bar at the correct height, then go down. do not drop, but pull yourself under the bar. from the looks of things you are on the right track. very few modificatins and you will be there.
