It's fairly popular over here, I think they're generally over subscribed for entrants. One of the of the things that gets people most years is the cold, rather than the distance or the obstacles. Might get round to doing it at some point.

It does get very oversubscribed. So much so that you end up queueing to get over obstacles. I did this a few years ago and at one stage had to wait 10 minutes on the cargo nets because of so many people. Also so cold, complete submersion underwater in the middle of January, by the end I felt I was running on stumps as I could no longer feel my feet. It took me 2 hours to stop shivering afterwards. Would be absolutely awesome if you could get a clear run at everything.

One of the lads from CF Manchester ran that last summer and this winter. He seemed to enjoy the recent one less for some reason...

Seems alright although the whole underwater tunnel thing doesnt quite fly with me when i can't see anything.

more power to anyone who does it though.
