What's preventing you from getting rings?
School gym doesn't have them. My only option would be to hang some from the pullup bar, but then they'd be too low to kip well, unfortunately.

No, but I just did now. I guess you don't need a tall setup for rings, so I'll look into getting some. That's pretty impressive Steven!

~Complete lockout at top for all of them.. I think.
~Eliminated the negative completely
~Jumped into the L for the L-kip I use

Started :14
Ended 2:44
Total: 2 mins 30 secs

I will also be uploading front and side versions of L-kip in action (unfortunately I did them before and only a single.. if anyone wants to get consecutive L-kips I'd be grateful).. maybe send to CFHQ.

Anyone know of any good free video editing software?

P.S. Also have some nice extra footage of me covered in mud splatters from the no negative drop as well as the stopwatch official time which was 2:34:55 (subtracted out the lag time of starting and stopping the stopwatch for the official 2:30 time).
Alright got it up. First vid is the work. Second vid is the extra commentary, lol.

As for the L-kip demo I'm gonna retake some vid.. maybe tomorrow. I'm going to string 5 together from the front and side angles and then combine them side by side and then repeated slowed down. Now I need to find some video editting software that can do this for free.

edit: lol, just counted and it's 29. I missed one MU in the second set. Damnit. Oh well, I'll do it again tomorrow and overwrite this vid. Am slightly sore in my rhomboids though so I dunno how it's gonna go.

Re: 30 Muscle Ups - standings

Alright, deleted the two above videos and what you now get is:

wfs
http://wam.umd.edu/~slow/30MUs(sub150s).avi

Started: :27
Ended: 2:51
Total: 2 mins 24 secs
Watch recording = 2 mins 27 sec (it seems to always be about a 3s lag from the past 3 attempts I've made).

Reps were 7,7,6,6,4 each set per 30s

Same description as last time:
~Skimped a little on the ROM at the bottom.
~Complete lockout at top for all of them.. I think.
~Eliminated the negative completely
~Jumped into the L for the L-kip I use

Notes:

Struggled more this time than the other set. Might have been cause of the lower rest times.. also might have been because it's freakin 40 degrees out as opposed to 60-70 degrees two days ago when I made the other attempt.

In any case, tough WOD. I don't even know if sub 2 mins is that doable. It seems that it takes more or less about 3s to do one rep cycling fast even with no negative. Doing the 7 reps left me around about 20-21s glancing at the watch which would be about 9-10s of rest between sets. If I went straight to 10 reps I would get no rest per 30s. Perhaps 8,8,7,7 would work but the first two sets you get only about 6s of rest between them and then about 9 for the last two which you have to push out as fast as well. I'll have to do a little thinking for that one.

P.S. I'm probably not gonna do anymore metcons for a while. Going into another strength cycle for rings work.

P.P.S extremely gassing workout even with the little ROM skimped because the huge time drops lead to exponential power output (as you already know).
