Met Con w/ achilles tendinitis

Greetings all,

Any ideas on good metcon workouts while trying to nurse achilles tendinitis? I did a search and saw a thread that warned against rowing because of the strain on the achilles during the extention phase. Also, any contraindications for the achilles when performing squats (in all variations) or deadlifts?

I row with mine, and IMHO you should be OK with squats. Just stay away from high impact stuff and make sure you stretch and ice it regularly.

First-off, the big thing you have to do, if you're going to do any squatting at all is make sure you're on a level supportive surface, barefoot or with stable shoes, and have your heels planted. Lifting your heels up even just a little can place undue stress on your Achilles. Unless you're experienced and have pristine form, I'd recommend against anything more than an air squat while injured, and even then keep them minimal.

I'll leave to more in depth things to the PTs, chiros and other qualified people on the board, but that's my two cents.
