This would probably be a better fit in the "digital coaching session." I don't think anyone embeds vids here. We typically just put the link and make sure it if Family Friendly.

Curls didn't look too full range and seemed to have a little hip drive. For curls depending on your goal, this might be fine.

This may be the wrong forum to post a video of you doing a 135 pound "cheat curl" and ask is it good.

Now a 135 pound hang power clean is a different story.

The first thing I notice is you're not in a squat cage. So yeah, you're doing it wrong.

You're doing 1/2 reps. You should reach he top, not stop halfway. That's nice weight to be curling though.

Re: How is my 135lbs barbell curl?too much cheating or ok?

Most of us don't really do "isolation" movements such as bicep curls--we instead do pull-ups, muscle-ups, rope climbs, and rows, and in the process our biceps get bigger. Are you sure you're in the right forum then? I'm sure there is a bodybuilding forum where people are much more into this sort of thing.

Every time someone does a standing bicep curl there will be "some" help coming from the hip drive. I'm not sure either way whether you were using "too much" hip drive or not. It looked like you were bending forward slightly, but I'm not sure whether it gave you extra hip drive or it was so your biceps would be stressed harder through a longer range of the movement. Again, our objective at Crossfit is just to get as much work done as easily and safely as possible and NOT isolate the muscle. So it's hard to answer your question. If you're really trying to isolate your biceps and forearms though, then just use a preacher's bench.

Still, 135 for reps is a pretty nice weight to be using for what you were doing--whether you were "cheating" or not.
