Pull Up Alternatives

I am just starting and I weigh over 4 bills, so pull ups aren't happening right now. What can I do for now until I can get there. I have been doing what I can on the WODs and modifying to do what I can't, but just can't think of anything for today. Thanks.

For MetCons, ring rows are a good sub. If you don't have rings, you could also do inverted rows with a bar.

To develop the requisite strength, pullup negatives work. I wouldn't really use them in a MetCon though.

Banded pullups are what most people start with if they can't get pullups.

We start with jumping pull ups before the bands. Work on the negative while you are doing them.

At around 4 bills, focus on doings rows or pulldowns/t-bar rows or bent over/1 arm rows.

I just don't know if getting up to a pullup bar, much less hanging on and fuddling with a pullup band is possible. Something you'll have to find out.
