Uber Shoulder Flexibilty/Subluxation

Righto, having some serious problems with my shoulders - just after some exercise/bio mechanical advice.

I'm trying to think of adjectives to describe the sensation - the best I can come up with is - heavy, loose and really unstable. It has subluxed once/ partially dislocated. And at night I'll often wake up to my shoulder feeling heavy (or wrong/ about to pop out)

Some background I have heinous hyper-extension and joint mobility - which was awesome for party tricks until things started dislocating.

I've had two knee ops to bolt my patellas in place and I'm slightly concerned that this is going to end up there as well. I've just moved countries - so I am no longer in reach of my amazing rehab physio.

In relation to my knees - it wasn't so much the surgery that saved them - it was more the rehab - got introduced to something called the posterior chain - ended up with badass glutes and fixed my posterior pelvic tilt.

Anyone know if there is something similar for shoulders?

I am currently crossfitting 2/3 times a week and swimming

Any help would be massively appreciated.

Re: Uber Shoulder Flexibilty/Subluxation

I would very strongly suggest getting it checked out by a physical therapist.

Different types of instability/subluxation/dislocation require different exercises to help stabilize, rehab, and stretch to get you back to athletic activity, so throwing out advice without knowing what it is by us can be a bad idea.

See if there's any sports teams in the area that can give you the name of the doc and/or physios they use.
