Belinda's Workout Log

I'm new to Crossfit and have been following the WODs for the last week as much as I can with my limited knowledge/ability and equipment (I need to buy more weights!).

I'm going get some coaching with the Olympic lifts once I get the spare cash, so until I'm sure I've got the right form, I doubt I'll produce any spectacular lifts. I'll go through the motions though and substitute the exercises to make sure I'm getting the most I can out of my efforts.

I've made my own rings, but I have to share them with my man, who is doing the workouts with me (yay!). Sharing made our time for 'nasty girls' less than what it could have been, but that's okay - we have a set of Elite rings on the way.

I can't do MU's yet, nor can I do unsupported HSPU's - gotta have a wall. I'm sure we can remedy that.

I'm 23, weigh 125 lb (57 kg) and I'm 5'3" (160cm).
I'm in the Australian Army Reserve (though currently inactive) and my full time job is as a jeweller.

Welcome, Belinda! I'm guessing your lift numbers will surprise you once you get going. How nice to be able to partner with your partner!

Yeah Belinda, you're very lucky ! My hubby helped me make my rings but he doesn't care to share At least me and the kids get a lot of use out of them!

Re: Belinda's Workout Log

Thanks for the welcome guys! Your Right, I already love it.

Back squat, 1 rep - 80 lb (36kg)
Shoulder Press, 1 rep - 80 lb (36kg)
Deadlift, 1 rep - 80 lb (36kg)

...80 lb is all I have for my bar (which is one of those light ones, so maybe + 2kg to the weight total) so far, so that's my max for now.

Went windsurfing too and ran along the beach with my dog, Forge.

Re: Belinda's Workout Log

Hi there, Belinda.

I also:

1. Love your avatar.
2. Can't wait to follow your log.
3. Think you should get more weights.
4. Am pretty enamored with that fact that you're also a jeweller.
5. Would like to have a life where windsurfing after lifting is an option.

Welcome.

Re: Belinda's Workout Log

yes, I do really need more weights. I've got a birthday coming up in March, so I think I'll get more then (or before as a present in advace).

Erin, I did the weights after windsurfing, but even if I didn't that is what my harness if for.

Cindy:
(jumping up pull ups)
13 rounds +5 pull ups +7 push ups

Ah, adding weight is all the fun! =)

WINDSURFING! Now that's my idea of a way to get a workout. I presume you are in the ocean? I learned in a lake near the ocean.
