I am going to start "The Zone" this weekend but I do not know much in regards to it other than the basics. I plan on picking up a few books to get me going upon this but I do not know if I should start with "Enter the Zone" or is the a better starting Zone book more defined towards athletes?

Entering the zone, mastering the zone are the two books I have read both good quick reads. available at most libraries. I picked mine up used for 8 bucks for the pair.

The only difference I could discern for athletes is that once you have lost weight to the point your performance is dropping you add more fat 2, 3 or more times the amount of fat you were eating before.

We used CFJ #21. It simplifies everything and makes it easy. We are in the middle of week two and starting to experiment with some of our own meals plans. I suggest getting CFJ #21.

A good resource for the zone plan is www.zoneperfect.com

It provides you with the basics behind the plan, and also provides a meal plan. I used it to get started and replace items as i feel i need to usually because of lack of that particular food. its been 2 weeks and i am down 8 lbs.
