I just started taking ZMA a few days ago - about 30 minutes before bed. Despite the claims of better sleep (which is why I started using it); I've had a hard time getting to sleep. Lots of tossing and turning. Anyone else with this problem? I don't recall seeing it listed as a side effect on any of the website research I did.

Try cutting to 15 minutes befor bed. Most people have a window of 15-45 minutes after taking ZMA where it enhances sleep, but if you're not asleep within that window it causes the restlessness and difficulty sleeping you described. Keep experimenting till you have a good sense of what your window is.

Yes I get the same thing if I start taking it after a period of not taking it. I find the problem passes after a couple of days, then I get one night of intense dreaming. After that, I have nothing but good sleep for a month and then the effect seems to lessen.
