I don't know about espresso, but my company is on a net income-increasing (read: cost-cutting) binge, and changed our coffee from cheap to dirt cheap. Blegh.

If I drink coffee it is always espresso. For some reason regular coffee jacks my stomach up but I can drink a triple espresso no problem.

I will even put some powder espresso in my protein drinks in the morning. Adds some nice flavor and energy boost.

Just bring in a cheap french press.

As for me, I start every morning with 4 shots in an americano. My espresso machine was the best and worst thing that I have bought

thats a shame. ours tried that a few years ago and it almost lead to a revolt. cutting costs on things that keep employees happy is bad in the long run

Re: Java junkies out there?

My wife and I drink a lot of coffee. I eliminated energy drinks like Monster etc and kept it to coffee in the mornings and in the evenings when I am relaxing.

Typically we drink Starbucks reserve 100% oahu, and the reserve 100% kona coffee.

Another good one is the Kirkland Signature "Sumatra" in the red 3# bag.

When it comes to making office coffee, Aeropress FTW.

Love my Aeropress, but I prefer the Clever Coffee Dripper.

Easier to clean (not that the Aeropress is hard, but the CCD is easier), makes great coffee, and it's just easier to use (again, not that the Aeropress is hard, but the CCD is easier).

Re: Java junkies out there?

Nespresso. Hands down the best at home espresso I have ever had.

My boss told me about it after he was saying he has one of those expensive $1500 dollar machines and a relative bought him the Nespresso machine and how now the expensive one is stored away.

I used to have a commercial machine also that my father in law was a supplier for and the Nespresso is way better.

Go to William Sonoma and they let you try the espresso there. You will be sold.
