Re: SFH Fortified vs Progenex More Muscle

I just don't like seeing people spend more money on something that they just don't need.

and more importantly not to stress over such a small thing. The web is littered with forums with people stressing over things they 'think' will be the deciding factor in their progress when in reality they won't make any noticeable difference.

I think the point Chris is making if the price is the same one should opt for a whey/casein over just a whey.

So can I buy 2 lb whey and 2 lb casein and mix them and just take that? Would come out to the same price as 4 lb whey.

I know but I am saying that I wouldn't bother worrying about it unless you are paying that much attention to the rest of your diet.

Do we really care whether you get a big short leucine spike or a smaller longer one? Real food can take up to 6 hours to digest should I really worry about 'absorption' timing between two protein supplements?

If you can get a combination one cheaply then sure go for it. But certainly don't worry if you can't.

I definitely agree with you that your diet is the number on thing to get sorted out.

With that being said, it goes back to efficency. Whey + casein is better then just whey or just casein. Mix the two and take them for the same price as them seperate.

Sure, and why not take something that has a much better net absorption and thus you can use less and get the same results? I.e. something that is cheaper to use because you can use less of it.

Yeah, and milk is so cheap... Drink enough milk to get 23g of protein and tell me what you paid for that serving.
