pinching/tightness/cramping sensation in left lower back/oblique area

It doesn't feel like regular muscle soreness. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Re: pinching/tightness/cramping sensation in left lower back/oblique area

What made it start?

I've had something similar when I pulled badly on a clean. For me it was just a slight muscle pull - the injury happened because my core was sloppy-loose, I'd leaned forwards a bit in the second pull, and not kept the bar anywhere like close enough to my body. In short, I went too heavy before I had any right to do that.

Went away over about a week with rest and a bit of ice. It hasn't recurred (yet), thanks to crucifyingly focused attention to form.
