First real ditch on cleans

did heavy cleans today. was feeling right nice and worked up to meet my 135kg pb, then tried for 136kg, but failed miserably...

what im gettin at is im happy that i trained how to ditch the weight alot beforehand. just like to share, that a few moments learning how to ditch at different points of the lift will save you weeks of injury time.

i had to ditch at the deepest part so it was a push and roll back almost. go through the vids, i know mike has some oly lift vids on ditchin

That's one of the first things we teach when teaching o-lifts - how to bail out.
If it's sore - ice it. If it's torn - tape it. If it's heavy - lift it!

Re: First real ditch on cleans

Practicing the ditch was one of my first steps in learning the clean. I've had to ditch on more than one occasion doing cleans. I find the difference between doing it in practice and doing it in desperation is that when you must ditch for real, it's more like muscle memory - it just seems to happen without thinking about it like in practice.
