C2 model B...should I buy it?

I have a chance to buy a C2 model b for $300. Should I buy it? The seller said they recently replaced the electronics on it, but it looks like it is the older monitor version. They did say it works great though.

I say the journal article on buying a C2 rower and it said the model b was ok, but may not be for crossfit. Has anyone had one that can recommend it or not?

Thanks.

I've never tried a model B, but at $300, I'd say that's a fair price for one as long as it's in good working condition. Just my $0.02

I wouldn't pay $300 for a model B.

I wonder about this all the time.

$200 should be the extreme upper end someone should charge on a model b imo.

I guess in AZ, model B's run a little more expensive on average. I've seen them sell in the $300-$350 range. Though me personally, I don't buy something like that till it's a ridiculous deal (I got a Model C for $200).

Re: C2 model B...should I buy it?

I recently bought a model B for $275. Yes, I wish it had only been $150. No, I do not regret buying it!

It's in great condition, the monitor works well, and I'm a super happy camper. I'd been looking for a C2 for over a year, and this was the first one i found anywhere near where I live.

One downside, if you care, is that it doesn't have the damper settings that the newer models have. You can change the damper settings with this cog system, but to be honest, I haven't even changed it since I bought it a couple months ago. Again, depends how hard core you plan to be with it.

I would have been willing to spend more on a model c or d, but I just couldn't find one. With that said, I'm perfectly happy with my rower. I'm not that hard core that the limitations bother me.

Ok. Thanks for all the information everyone. I think I'll just continue adding to the rower fund and see what else comes up. Thanks again.
