Decathletes/Heptathletes.

Possibly some Special Forces Tactical Athletes. SeALS, etc.

American Football players in positions such as tailbacks, wide recievers, defensebacks, safetys, and possibly linebacker.

I dunno anything about the guys who play Rugby.

I've met a lot of freerunners and traceurs who don't have much pure strength or metcon ability, just uncanny agility, coordination, and awareness.

First you would have define "all round athletes" to give people a starting point. Then you'll find you are getting into an apple to orange to carrots comparison.

Re: Best all round' athletes other than x-fitters

I omitted the big lineman for a reason. Do we honestly expect them to hang in there during a run of say a mile to 3 miles?

Gymnasts could be quite all-around, especially if we care about them being athletes besides metcon junkies.

400 meter runners, all combat sports (full contact only), not sure about aussie rules/footy players but I'm pretty sure they are generally fit (maybe low on absolute strength), KB lifters.
