Your top superstition?

Simple topic. If you are superstitious, what would you call your "top" superstition?

I'm generally not superstitious, but I do have one.

Fear of driving over manhole covers.

I know this never (or, at least, rarely) happens, but something in my feeble brain makes me think that I will eventually hit a not-quite-properly-seated cover and that it will flip over, leaving my tire stuck in the manhole.

So, if you see some dude driving down the street trying to discretely slalom around the manholes, that's probably me. I'm not drunk; just weird.

Re: Your top superstition?

I had a pair of lucky underwear that I wore for every test my last 2 years of college. Should have worn them more on Friday night.....

Re: Your top superstition?

If I press the crosswalk button or elevator button repeatedly, the light will change faster and the elevator will get there quicker.

Just superstitions, please. This one is scientific fact.

From a friends facebook page last night -

"I was at Wild Wings celebrating a buddy's birthday, when the storm came through.

Went to peek outside, and the water in the storm drain had blown the manhole cover off, washed it down the street, and water was gushing out the top of the hole to about thigh high."

I do what I can.... didn't want anyone falsely accusing him of being overly cautious.

I was in a factory in China a year ago and saw this very thing happen. Pretty cool to watch.

FTW!

I don't understand why, but whenever I leave my house for a few days there will always be big dead bug in the toilet when I come back. Now I check whenever I pass an act of Congress
