Any rumors about Quarry possibly facing Silva? I'm in no way saying that he would stand a better chance than Swick, but that 185 division seems fairly lean on people to throw at Silva. I haven't heard much on that guy ever since he was KO'd by Franklin.

I'm not sure where Quarry is at with his training presently. First he had surgery on his nose, then he had surgery in June to fuse his L2 and L3 together due to a degenerative disc issue. He was hoping that the surgery would prolong his fighting career. I haven't heard anything about his recovery since then, though.

Why doesn't Mr. Penn just you know... go up another weight class? He seems to like to do that.

Silva will hold on to the middleweight crown for a while and will move up to 205 and beat the iceman, I hate to say that but I think i am right.

Silva fought at 175 not too long ago. If he fights 205, he'll be a much less effective striker. Chuck would beat anyone named "Silva" in the first round.

Silva will be the champ until he fights Lindland.

Actually agree with you on this..lindland or dan henderson are the only two people that i could think of in that weight class capable of beating anderson silva. They have enough sense on there feet to make him aware of strikes, leaving him open for takedowns and matt lindland is relentless on the ground. I watched him fight rampage not to long ago and although the judges say he lost..I believe he won..not forgetting that he just knocked jeremy horn out as well.

I hadn't seen the fight until this thread, and I was thinking "How could Franklin look sick or whatever?. . ."

All I saw was the clip above and I admit he didn't look like his usual self at all. Maybe it was just that Silva took him to a place that he had never practiced before. . . or he could have just been hungover or something.

Either way, that wasn't his best performance.

Yeah, that fight was pretty depressing to watch. Not a lot of heart.

It would be awesome to see Lindland fight Silva. Not sure how likely that is of happening in the UFC, though. Lindland and Anderson were supposed to fight at Cage Rage 16 a while ago, but WFA finally got in gear and put on a show and Lindland had committed to them long ago and so he had to pull out of the Cage Rage fight. Bad timing! But we did get to see him fight Rampage, at least!

I didn't see the fight, I did see one of the interview's with Franklin promoting the fight and my first thought was he looked much skinnier than usual, I just figured it was me.
