Re: Belt - Inzer vs. Elite FTS vs. Spud

I have an Elitefts Belt and a Spud Inc. belt.

I tend to use the spud belt more and more, it is flexible but rock solid support. The only thing I do not like about it is there is an inch gap between the ends when it is cinched up. I talked to Mark Bartley about this and he said it would not be a problem.... And after almost a year of use it has not been.

The Elitefts belt is rock solid. the only down side here is I feel like I'm between to hole sizes, so its either just a tad to loose or a tad to tight. The Spud inc belt you can get just right.

Inzer single buckle 13MM Forever Belt: love it. Keep in mind it will take a month or so to break in. Your first few weeks it will cut into your hips and ribs and you'll wonder why you bought it. Don't fret though it will break in. I use mine only on singles and it is awesome.

Re: Belt - Inzer vs. Elite FTS vs. Spud

As a follow-up, my break-in period seemed to accelerate when I wrapped the belt in some black high-tension resistance bands. Basically kept it tied up when not in use as you would when breaking in a catcher's mitt.

Good call. I really didn't look that deep.

I have an Inzer 13mm lever belt from my old PL days that is bombproof if that contributes anything.

Dang. Sucks about that EFS belt. I saw that sale and got really excited. Too bad I'm a medium...

IMO go with a Lever belt. So much easier than having to fight to get a Prong belt off after a heavy set when you are struggling for Air!!
