Re: Favorite Workout Music

how about taking it one more step and actually listing a playlist of your ultimate cf music. .

i usually prefer metal . . but sometimes i am in a rap mood. . and then there is every other sunday when we mop the floors at the box and listen to mozart. .

slipknot- wait and bleed
corrosion of conformity- vote with a bullet
quicksand- fazer
g n' r -welcome to the jungle
slayer- raining blood
pantera- five minutes alone
pennywise - dying to know
snot - stoopid
cypress hill - locotes
outkast - hootie hoo
tool - opiate - entire album

if there is something playing during warm up that isnt working for me for the wod. . i usually drop whatever i am doing and declare "i need metal" then proceed to put my i pod in the dock and put on "cfwodmetal" playlist

This is awesome. The theme from Who Dares Wins, 1982 British film about the SAS (Not WFS, one swearword at the start):

Re: Favorite Workout Music

My friends who first turned me on to Crossfit would play all kinds of stuff that I haven't listened to since I was in college during our workouts - a lot of Big Black, mostly, the occasional Lush or My Bloody Valentine song. On my own, for running, Buzzcocks, Elvis Costello, Undertones, fast Egyptian pop like Saad or Hakim, Selim Sesler or any fast-paced Romany music with a lot of percussion. For everything else: nothing but the sounds around me, mainly me, trying to keep up.
