my workout log

2/20/09
50 Ring Dips
25 squat thrusts
50 Push-ups
25 squat thrusts
50 (not sure what this is called) we lifted 25 lb sandbags over our heads
25 squat thrusts
I think my time was 22:18

2/19/09
With a continuously running clock do one pull-up the first minute, two pull-ups the second minute, three pull-ups the third minute... I did got up to eight minutes. Got halfway through the ninth and then had to stop.

2/4/09
Heavy sandbag back squats on 12" box (can't remember how many/what weight I did)
Tabata squats=6 rounds
legs were killing me the next few days but i biked and did some pilates over the weekend to stretch out

Front squat ... i think i did 5 at 50, 5 at 50, 5 at 75, 6 at 75, and then my wrist started bugging me. I've got to start taking better notes during class.


2/24/09
25 jumping pullups from a squat
25 lb Push press, 21 reps
25 jumping pullups from a squat
25 lb Push press, 18 reps
25 jumping pullups from a squat
25 lb Push press, 15 reps
25 jumping pullups from a squat
25 lb Push press, 12 reps
i kept the weight low to keep my wrist safe; i think my time was something like 10:25 or 10:50

warmup:
10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 of:
Sandbag thrusters, 25lbs
Thigh touches* (L+R=1 rep)

some warmup!

then i did
Pick up a sandbag. Try to keep neutral alignment at the lumbar spine and knee while doing so. Carry it 10 feet and put it over a PVC set between the rings at either 36". i did one at 50 lb, then five or six at 75

"Helen" variation
Three rounds for time:
15 squat thrusts
21 sandbag swings, 25 lbs
12 Pull-ups -- assisted with the green band
of course, i put the piece of paper with my time on it into the wash, but i think i did it in under twelve minues

Single Leg Romanian Deadlifts and Overhead Dynamic Lunges -- I worked on these with 25 and then 50 lbs. Fun to play with balance. Picture here
Gymnastics Skill Work: pullups assisted by the purple band. Can't remember how many I got though, but maybe two sets of six?

15 pushups
20 thigh touches
25 squats
pushups were the hardest to maintain my form
set times: 2:47, 2:27, 2:33, 2:44

presses -- 5 @ 50 lbs, 3 @75 lbs, tried twice to get under the 100 lb bag but couldn't get it onto my fists, then 8 @ 75 lbs
