Ahhh no wonder why. I'll keep that in mind. I'll have the bar and shins touching next time before going down to grab.

I sometimes use the same position for the Power Clean and DL since they're on the ground. Gunna have to kill that mentality. Thanks.

Also on the squat, how would I be able to achieve a harder start?

Pull your shoulder blades back, dont duck your head. That ought to be a good start.

Re: Please check my LB Squat and Deadlift :)

Update: I stopped squatting for now because my knee caps, patella I believe hurt every time I squat, even air squat. I am not sure if the pain is coming from underneath it or on top, but the pain hasn't gone away for quite some time. I started doing light leg presses instead until it hopefully heals.

Re: Please check my LB Squat and Deadlift :)

I have been doing a lot of reading and I hear that leverages are different from person to person.

From what I tried and practiced. I noticed also that my butt hikes up before the bar leaves the ground when I put my hips low. But now I try it with my hips higher and it doesn't do that anymore. My hamstrings feel loaded unlike before and the bar pulls right off.

Is this still a proper deadlift or did it become a stiff-legged deadlift?

Here is a recent video of me with the higher hips. Does it look better?
