I dunno... I've run 10 miles in them several times with no special problems and I'm running a half in a few weeks with them and don't expect any problems. As long as you start slow and build up the calf strength and endurance over time, I don't see why you couldn't do a 1/2 marathon in them.

They were designed by a professional ultramarathoner, after all...

Pretty sure I will be investing in a pair of Inov-8's once they become more available. Saw Spealler a few weeks ago at a cert wearing them, along with several of the other trainers. Very, very sleek looking shoe. From what I've heard, they're very comfortable to WOD in as well.

I love mine. Got em on Zappos, actually. They seem to be one of the few places that can manage to keep them in stock longer than 5 seconds.
