Re: Pre and post workout eating

Honestly, the last couple weeks I've gotten pretty lazy about pre/post WO nutrition. Right now it's just a glass of milk on either side.

Sometimes it stays down, sometimes...not so much.

Re: Pre and post workout eating

I eat a meal two hours Pre-WO and one hour PWO, this has been working well for me. No protein shakes! they do not help one bit IMHO

Re: Pre and post workout eating

When I used to do alot of BB type training routines I used to eat usually 1 hour before training, but since doing crossfit (1 week approx) Ive found that if I eat a meal 1 hour before the WOD I have a bloated, sicky feeling like im concentrating on not being sick rather than maximising my efforts, Ive upped my time to 2 hours before a workout because of this.

I currently still use protein shakes with skimmed milk straight after a workour, although I am seriously considering cutting out the milk and substituting with water and perhaps some fruit, and then within an hour eating a meal (preferably Zone)
