Push Jerk 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 reps

95-115-125-135(F)-135(F)-125

First time doing Push Jerk...I really liked them, and felt way stronger than to fail on 135, but I wasnt able to keep my back/abs rigid when I pushed the weight up during the dip. Still felt good and looking forward to this one again.

Reminder: its been about a month of crossfit...I need to try to get the 5k in (maybe tomorrow?) to see where I stand. Gotta get sub-30.

"Helen"

Three rounds for time:
Run 400 meters
1 1/2 pood Kettlebell X 21 swings (or 55 pound dumbbell swing)
12 Pull-ups

Treadmill 400m (this was annoying)
21- 35# db swing
12- 100# gravitron

15:35. butt kicked, kind of felt a little pukie-ish on the last round.

ive been eating "unclean" lately but my weight has dropped to 178. Still, gonna get back to paleo.

"Barbara"

Five rounds, each for time of:
20 Pull-ups
30 Push-ups
40 Sit-ups
50 Squats

Rest precisely three minutes between each round.

2nd time doing this. First time I did it outside with a compromised version of basically everything. This time around I still used the gravitron (100# avg), and almost 90% knee pushups. Only went 3.5 rounds too (just mentally failed, i should have just kept going though). My arms got so pumped I could hardly do even knee pushups. This workout is beautiful. It is perfect in every way.

4:53
6:39
7:17
3:54(failed after pushups)

Clean and Jerk 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 reps

115-125-135-145-150-155(F on clean)-155(F on clean)

Was very excited to do this wod. I feel like my form is still bad, and I am constantly focusing so hard on form I end up losing focus for putting the weight up. Reason, when I do complete the lift I definitely dont feel like it is my max (strengthwise). I know I have way more strength than this, the last two fails were completely mental. I need to get tough.

Re: A. Davis Log

"Jackie"

1000 meter row
45 pound Thruster, 50 reps
30 pull-ups

12:10
Everything rx'd (except 100# assist pullups)

I went at this one full bore, although my energy level felt down, maybe since it was not my normal workout time. The rows got kind of hard about halfway in and I realized I better pace myself. Thrusters were broken up like crazy, 7-10 at a time. Pullups went 10-5-10-5. Strength wise I am wondering where I would be if i knew how to really kip. Even gravitron pullups with 100# are hard for me so I dont exactly feel like im cheating by using it right now, since im still getting my butt kicked.

Run 5k

01/24/09: 31:56
03/08/09: 28:00

6 weeks of Crossfit and relatively clean eating shaved almost 4 minutes off of my 5k time. Pretty happy about this. The run felt great, I pretty much kept the same pace the whole time and probably could have pushed it even harder. I kind of waited til the last 500 meters to try to push myself hard, but if I would have just kept a bit faster pace throughout I could have probably inched toward 27.

So, I beat my short term goal of just sub 30. Now, in 6 more weeks I need to hit 25:00. I know this is absolutely possible, so let the next phase begin.

Re: A. Davis Log

Complete as many rounds as you can in twenty minutes of:
5 Handstand Push-ups
10 L Pull-ups
15 Steps, Walking Lunge

11 rounds + pushups

subs:
pushups with feet on 18" box
gravitron pullups (90-110# assist)
lunges-each single step counted as "1" (assumed this was rx'd)

Re: A. Davis Log

"CrossFit Total"

Back squat, 1 rep
Shoulder Press, 1 rep
Deadlift, 1 rep

Squat: 220
Press: 110
DL: 285 (PR)

Total: 615

Actually all of these were PR's since I have never technically max'ed this much of any of them.

Re: A. Davis Log

Last Friday (i somehow forgot to post results)
Back Squat 3-3-3-3-3 reps

If I remember correctly:

185-205-205-215-215

I adjusted my stance at the end and felt way more power.

Afterwards I worked on kipping PUs and did 21-15-9 of shoulder press, since I am so weak there.
