310 Clean & Jerk

Lifts are still steadily moving up!
Still some more room there if I can hit the perfect lift all around, but the jerk especially has been much more consistent lately.

310 C&J (wfs)

Sweet. I can't comment on anything productive or use to you, except awesome work. 315 soon!

I need to get my clean technique down.

Re: 310 Clean & Jerk

Jay,

nice job on the 310. You rushed the second pull, which didn't allow for a complete finish, but were still able to get it up. You do a better job of being patient and getting the bar higher up on the 320. Jerk looked relatively easy. You could get a little longer split so that front shin can get back another inch or two. Looks like it's a little forward in the video.

Re: 310 Clean & Jerk

You've got pull for miles buddy! If could could get the timing right to meet the bar lower (maybe around parallel to allow for adjustment) and catch a bounce i'd imagine a 2x bw clean would be right there. Legs are plenty strong given your recent front squat vid. Keep it up!

Caught 320 really nice and deep on the rack just got a little bent over on the way up. I think it'll be there next big clean day.
Jerk has been very consistent lately. For the longest time I'd always be able to clean a weight but miss the jerk.
Thanks for the advice.

Thanks man! For the longest time I had a power clean that was over my full clean, and almost even with my front squat. Got the squat up quite a bit now but I'm still at a 305 PC. So yeah, the pull is definitely there! That's what I'm shooting for. Next stop is 150kg.
Lucky to have a guy like you taking video of some ridiculous lifts and showing me what's possible at 77.

That's inspiring man. You have me beat by 25lbs with 55lbs less body weight. I have some serious work to do.

Re: 310 Clean & Jerk

good clean, but the jerk would have been red lighted in a meet setting. You had just enough of a press out of the left arm to make the red light call.

Re: 310 Clean & Jerk

Depends on the judges....I had one in competition 2 weeks ago with that kind of pressout and it got 3 whites.
