Severe Ab Cramps when doing ab exercises

I never get cramps when lifting, except when doing isolation ab exercises. I get severe ab cramps and have to immediately stop the exercise. Any idea what could be causing this? It happens pretty regularly.

Re: Severe Ab Cramps when doing ab exercises

I get these too sometimes and it never happened until I started taking creatine. This doesn't happen if I keep well-hydrated.

Re: Severe Ab Cramps when doing ab exercises

When I use to workout in a bodybuilder style I would get cramps during ab sessions so I contributed it to the creatine because a lot of time it would be the only supplement I was on. Never saw it as a size builder but felt it helped retain the gains I made.
