Box thrusters...hmm?

Just had a thought on a new exercise--the box thruster. It's a hybrid of a box squat and a thruster. Is there anything there? Perhaps they would be good for Fran training.

Seems pretty solid for increasing your max Thruster at least. I'll give them a try sometime for sure.

Re: Box thrusters...hmm?

I have another good one. Box burpees! you do a burpee in front of a 24 inch box, then you get up and jump onto the box. Jump backwards off the box and do another burpee. So it's just like a regular burpee only every time you jump at the end it's onto the box

Done those. HORRIBLE (in that good crossfit way)!

As for box thrusters, they would have to be done with a lot of care but could be good. The same arguments against wider adoption of Box Squats would probably apply (see, THIS (WFS) thread).

Saw this while doing some research, this exercise done this way to a box squat is great for people with bad mobility as well as bad knees that do not allow a good squat. I have been doing these for quite some time and it works great, take the stress off the knees.
