Re: Firebreathers...what minimum performance qualifies?
I thought "firebreather" was a term more associated with a workout that made you breathe so hard that it burns during and afterwards; ya know, when your jaw gets real tight and all. Ability to take oneself to that level on any given workout (esp as rx'd) suggests the "firebreather" mentality to me. Otherwise, this seems awfully tedious. I agree with some standards to which we can strive for performance. And if everyone is THAT worried about the aforementioned adjective, I guess run with it.
As for the guy that said if a lot of people achieve "elite" Fran time it is no longer "elite", pishposh! That means there are more people doing awesome physical tasks working with a great capacity that will enhance their lives for years to come! I'd love to see a list of times/standards to put in my crosshairs! |
