Re: warehouse heater ideas?
You may think about doing infared heating units over the spaces were people will be working out or waiting for their turn. I use them in my 1100' garage gym to get heat were I need it and not waste money heating air. Works good for me.

Hey Laurie -
I'm going to be interning at the Level 1 at your box next week. I'm really looking forward to checking out your place and meeting you and Kurt. I have heard such great things, should be an awesome weekend. See you on the 14th. |

Re: warehouse heater ideas?
We have the same thing as Kris is suggesting. Just make sure that you shut it down right before the WOD. It will heat up the space and keep it right. But if that thing goes off in the middle of a WOD, people get ****ed. Warm air blowing right on you during a WOD sucks.

Re: warehouse heater ideas?
Hey guys,
I just went to West Marine (boating supply store) and bought a cabin warmer. I stuck it into a 500sq foot space with 17ft ceilings and it heated the room in less than 15 minutes. If you have 3500 square feet - I would think 3-4 of these guys could do the trick. |

Re: warehouse heater ideas?
Laurie -
We, too, have a Reznor in our gym. Built-in system with propane piped to it and it has to have the exhaust piped to the exterior. Not something you can really do on your own. Hire a contractor to do it. That will definintely do the trick and heat the space up. Our training area is 3500 square feet with 23 foot high ceilings. This will be our first winter in the new space, so I hope it works as well as advertised. Seemed to do fine for the business that was in the space before us. Hope all is well up there in the Pacific Northwest! |
