No gymnastics for a while Nik, but I won't be able to stay away forever, its too much fun! I'll just have to be more careful next time.

Yeah its just some bruising Scott. I think I should be able to do squats on it by the end of the week and maybe throw some weight around by the middle of next (hopefully).

Thanks Leon. Now thinking back on it, I don't think it was as difficult as RX Nate, but it was a good sub.

Re: Jesse Emers- Get Beast

Last Night-

5min row moderate pace (1300m)

Sprints on Airdyne x5 (go all out until you hit a wall)
(30s, 31s, 33s, 35s, 45s)

*The Airdyne is a stationary bike that allows you to do the work with your arms as well as legs. Its pretty insane how much it rocks your world, I can't really explain it. Compared to running, rowing, swimming, or any type of aerobic activity like that, I think that this silly little bike allows you to do the most work in a given period of time.

Had no energy physically or mentally to do any type of workout after work yesterday. Haven't felt like that in a while and it was obvious overtraining. It was weird though because I considered it a light week, especially with the foot injury, but I guess that stuff can build up over a while.

Re: Jesse Emers- Get Beast

"Angie"

For time:
100 Pull-ups
100 Push-ups
100 Sit-ups
100 Squats
= 19:21

*Last pr was 16:33, so this is not good. First time with unanchored situps and it made a huge difficulty/time difference. Also squats were slower than normal, being careful with foot, but that wouldn't make much of a time difference. Hoping that the situps were the reason

Foot is feeling good and definitely on the heal. Just need to be careful for the next two weeks or so.

The unanchored sit ups make a big difference with me, same speed at first but then they get slow. Used one of those abmats last Friday and found it made unanchored sit ups much easier, almost gave me a ramp to lean forward from. They should have them in your affiliate.

Re: Jesse Emers- Get Beast

I agree unanchored sit-ups are much harder. You'll get your time back to where it needs to be when the foot is good and you've done plenty of sit-ups this way.

Yep unanchored situps, you can't get the momentum from your feet being hooked, you have to rely on your abs and crunch. Good for you doing them unanchored! Forget the time. with the change up in situps and the foot it takes its toll.

Yeah we have abmats at the gym Scott. For some reason I thought that the mats made them harder, but I fooled around today and found that they definitely make them easier.

Thanks Leon, foot should be healed up soon enough. And now I have plenty of time to work on my situps while waiting!

I wish that I didn't care about the time Nik, but thats just impossible. I think it was mostly the unanchored situps and the strict ROM on the pushups and situps (that I sometimes slacked on while doing some WODs alone). I don't really think the foot affected the time so much.

Re: Jesse Emers- Get Beast

5 Rounds for Time:
500m Row
25 Situps
10 HSPU
= 17-20min???

*First time that I've completely forgot to time a WOD. I realized in round 4 that I didn't even have a stopwatch nearby! Felt good though. Used abmat unanchored situps and they seemed easier than yesterday.
