I've never tried a towel but there are a lot of good ways to do the exact same thing. You can occasionally get these for $9.99.

Yeh I figured after I posted my thread there was a ton of stuff out there already. This was kind of a joke thread between me and a friend at work. I basically bet him that within about 10 minutes at least 3 hardcore crossfitters would reply on here trying to defend the abmat...

I think I lost though because I only got two reply's so far. Frank, who I can't tell if he is defending the abmat or not, and Caleb is pretty much saying there are other things besides an abmat....

Frank is not defending the abmat, he is chastising you for being lazy.

Personally, i prefer the abmat by a long shot. It feels nicer, keeps its form, is way more stable, has two different angles depending on the person using it.

Basically i dont see any reason NOT to spend the 29..

Anyways, you all don't have to respond anymore. I'm getting an abmat anyways just because I am an equipment whore and I got Damon over in Utah trading me for some O'Lift DVD's. My buddy at work was just giving me a hard time about it and I was telling him how the crazies at CrossFit will likely defend the abmat to there graves...hahaha
