CF in Abu Dhabi?

Heya. I'm going to be moving to AD in late January for about 5 months.

Any other CrossFitters there? Are there any boxes in the area? I've found a few in Dubai, but that's like a 3 hour drive...

From AD City it is more like 60 to 70 mins.

No box in AD yet - Haddins gym offers WODs every morning @ 6am in AD (but they are general not actual CF workouts).

Al Dhafra Air Base has CrossFit Sprung... likely named after the "Sprung Structure" it is located in. Located near the basketball court and PERSCO. I can't seem to find their name anywhere on CrossFit.com though, so I am assuming it is just a bunch of CrossFitters getting together for a WOD.

Not affiliated, no name listed. Its just called the Crossfit Sprung. They run 0600 WODS M-F I believe, maybe more. The tent is 24/7 open.

Open 24/7 if you can get on base (aka Military or Contractor) and gain access to the American Compound/Living Area then you can use it. It's not on the Emirati side of Al Dhafra.

Rowers, GHD, Rogue Equipped Cage, bars, bumpers, wallballs, abmats, rings, bands, KB's etc.

Its a full setup, my new home away from home.

I dont think they will allow access to the public - the place sounds awesome

Looks like I will have to wait until the Reebok Box opens in Abu Dhabi (Beyond Health Club), was scheduled to open earlier in the year, but has been delayed.

Its pretty strict getting on base, definitely not open to the public.

So there are no gyms in Abu Dhabi that run any type of CF stuff?

None yet

Beyond Fitness will be in the future, date yet to be confirmed.

There has been talk of some the Dubai based CF boxes extending into Abu Dhabi, but its seems only to be talk.

Massive catchment, seems strange that no one has opened it, a real shame.

Any idea on where Beyond Fitness (or Beyond Health Club) will be located? Any update on opening date? I'm missing my CF workouts...and quite frankly am tired of bastardizing my daily workout to fit what's available in the my local gym.
