Forearm Injury
Been Crossfitting for about 3 months. Used to powerlift, weight lift, played rubgy for cardio. I'm 47/190. Never did the Olympic lifts. Jumped right in with low weights, but now have a nagging pull from a power clean. Its in the forearm, near the elbow, not tennis elbow. On the palm side of the forearm. Two questions: Any suggestions for recovery and still w/o? Any suggestions on subs for the clean movement? Thanks. Love crossfit, definietly all-in

Google "golfer's elbow." There are a variety of things you can do for it. I have fought it for a while. 1) Gotta rest it a while. No gripping and pulling. 2) Reverse wrist curls with very light weights. Start with 5lbs. 3) Stretch and massage. Lots of techniques. Look them up and find the one that works for you.

Looks like "Golfers elbow" is what I have. I guess I got it last week. We did Fran on Monday and it was my fist time to RX it, but it took a toll on my body. Wednesday's WOD involved 25 Sumo DL's AFAP and on number 20 I felt it strain. Looks like I just have to rest it.
