New to CrossFit.. in Korea..

Hello!

I just wanted to quickly post some sort of, "Hi, I'm here" thread.. Because I have the feeling I'll be frequenting this board. I just started CrossFit about 3 weeks ago in Busan, South Korea. I'm the only non-Korean there, and due to my work schedule, I couldn't do the On Ramp. I just kind of dove right in..

Anyhow, even though I speak Korean at a fairly decent level, there are still times where I don't understand everything coaches are saying (that could be because this is also my first time actually "exercising"), so I'm fairly sure I'll making heavy use of this site.

As for goals, currently it's to feel confident in a swimsuit. July 14th is the annual Boryeong Mud Festival, and as a guide, I'm going to have a lot of people looking to me.. while I happen to be wearing less clothes than I would ordinarily. >,< I'm hoping to get thinner, less jiggly, and maybe some more definition by that day.

(And maybe successfully do a "grown-up" push-up.. I kind of suck at those.)

Hi Patricia,

I am a new crossfitter in Korea, too. How did you find your gym? Do they speak English?

I only saw one affilitate listed for Korea on this site and it doesn't look like anyone there is going to be speaking very much English.

Hey Patricia!

How's crossfit going for you in Busan? Please come up and check out Reebok Sentinel next time you're in Seoul! If you need any help or cf advice, let me know!

Re: New to CrossFit.. in Korea..

Hello all,
There is a new gym open near Konkuk Uni in Seoul, (lines 2 & 7) with CrossFit and Kickboxing/Jiu-jitsu classes on offer, great fun!
