Is there anyone in Los Alamos looking for others to crossfit with? I know there is a gym down in Santa Fe, but I want to see if I can get a group going here in town.

I would love a los alamos crossfit. I've been to the intro class at crossfit santa fe and they seemed like a good fit for me, I'm just wary of a one-year commitment when I know for a fact that I hate making that drive repeatedly in a week. That's why I don't commute And I just don't know if I wouldn't get burned out driving an hour right after work when I'm at my most tired and not have a proper dinner till like 8:30.

So, yeah. los alamos there has to be a way!

Hey guys! Zia CrossFit is also located in Santa Fe and there is no "one year" commitment here! Come check it out. I know it is a bit of a drive but we have many people at Zia that make that drive every day also (carpool?)

Thanks for the info, unfortunately my wife and I chose to live in Los Alamos because a 10min commute is long for me. I couldn't handle a 1hr drive to go work out. I know I'm weird.

If you decide to open up an extension box up here I'd join in a heart beat.

I'm new to CrossFit , and I really wish there were a CrossFit group in Los Alamos. I'd join a local group in a second, as would other graduate students I know. SF is just too long a drive for me to commit to on a regular basis.

I have been crossfitting for a while and am usually up in the Los Alamos area during the summer. If you think people would be interested, we could try and ask one of the gyms in LA if they would let us use some of their space for crossfit stuff at a specific time. Otherwise certain WODs could always be done at parks in the area (which is what I have done in the past).

The gym at the lab would probably be your best bet. It can get very crowded at time though. But I know they have kettle bells, medicines balls, and sandbags. Plus the weights. Just not bumpers that I know of. This is all to the best of my knowledge. I used to work as firefighter their but haven't in over a year so good luck.

Hey Y'all. I just moved here not too long ago. I knew there wasn't a Box on the hill so I geared up. I don't have a lot of equipment, but I'm willing to share what I have. The Lab's gym is limited at best. The kettlebells belong to the Fire Dept and they keep them locked up. There is one med ball. I dare you to try and take it outside and throw it at their wall There is a TRX thing I've been using to do pullups, but I frequently get kicked out of that room for various reasons.I'm sure you get the point. The weather is getting warmer, so WODing outdoors will work. I can find venues and help program. I'm up for working out a schedule. Hit me up at nsoapes@lanl.gov. Cheers!
