Facepalm moments

Over on CFFB blog, there was a comment from someone who was 6' 185# starting to stall on his lifts. A few people responded saying he was a little on the light side, should try eating more and reassess.

Someone else then responds with:
Quote:
Wait im 6" 160 with 10% body fat and 185 is to light? I eat right I just read the talk to me johnny and I eat right but maybe not enough? 3 big meals and one snack but I've never felt better. Will I not gain much weight without eating more.
FYI I do CFFB and seal fit so it's hard gain weight cause I loose it fast
And i couldn't help but laugh.

I didn't check back to see if he was joking or not, but he's doing sealfit and cffb and is 160# and says it's hard to gain weight. This was a real facepalm moment for me.

Do you guys have any facepalm moments from crossfit, work, relationships or wherever that you'd like to share?

Re: Facepalm moments

My biggest facepalm moment with crossfit was when I couldn't figure out why I was getting lightheaded. Then I added up my daily calories and was at like 1200 or something like that.

I'm an idiot.

EDIT: Actually I have a better one. Today at work, a woman was talking about that pink slime stuff in ground beef, saying it's going to kill you and she won't touch the stuff ever again. Meanwhile, she was smoking and hacking up a lung.

Re: Facepalm moments

One of my class mates said a chest supported row is the exact same as a bench press.

I turned it off at the alternating kb press and fire one round. That was stupid.

NOOOO. You missed the best part - they do upside down crunches and then shoot at the target. Nothing can go wrong there.

Re: Facepalm moments

You might want to lay off the GD rednecks bit, champ. I'm sure I could find any number of videos of Aussies doing something stupid, but I'm not going to try to claim they represent anything other than individual idiots.

Sorta like I'm sure this (WFS) is an accurate stereotype of Australia, right?
