Thank you to Paleo and CrossFit
I had a physical back in April (the 1st in many, many years) and had some pretty alarming results. Weight was 203 Cholesterol was 297, Blood sugar was 111 and Triglycerides were 751. I'm a 39 year old male and just the thought of medication makes my skin crawl. So when the Doc told me that if I couldn't get these numbers under control in 3 months he'd put me on meds, I thought, "Challenge Accepted". Long story short, I had been doing CrossFit in my home gym for about a year prior to my physical so I was pretty suprised by my blood work results. I finally understood that exercise alone was not the cure all so I incorperated a Paleo diet to accompany my CrossFit and after 3 1/2 months I'm proud to say that at my re-check at the Docs office my weight is down to 183, Cholesterol is at 191, Blood sugar is 86 and my Triglyceride count dropped to 71. I feel better than I ever have before and I owe it to the guidance of the CrossFit community. Thank you very, very much.
