As someone who turned 50 this year, and has been Crossfitting now for 2-1/2 years, when I hear of anyone in my bracket that can train twice a day on a regular basis, well that's simply suspicious to me. Not automatic, but on the radar. You can't fool Mother Nature for long.
I am 49, 50 in feb. I train twice a day and am clean. Now for train. It is a metcon from my gym and a heavy lift later most of the time. Or class workout and gymnastic skill work. So I don't do multiple hours of training but more then once a day.
Also some time I skip extras as I call them and just do the WOD, depending on how I feel and how beat up I am.
