Like you I'm fairly new at CF (8 months in), still working on skill development, and do most of my workouts in my garage. I'd really encourage you to get the oly lifts down if you plan on competing. You can count on heavy and/or high rep oly lifts in competition, and it seems to me that people with great form use much, much less energy than those of us who are just muscling things up. I don't think it's possible to spend too much time working on the snatch, that is one complex movement.
Hey Phil, thats some good feedback on CF Epic cause that was what I was hoping to do. Get a class or two and I'm in Iowa City every day (Go Hawks). No doubt form rules at the Oly's.
